Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Accurately process customer orders and handle payments efficiently.
- Maintain friendly, professional, and engaging service standards at all times.
- Participate in sales promotions and upselling of products.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, reporting issues to the Manager on duty.
- Ensure safe handling of hot and cold drinks, food, and desserts.
- Call out and confirm orders in a clear and friendly manner.
Store Operations
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the café.
- Regularly check display items to ensure freshness and quality.
- Replenish necessary items at the condiment stand and shelves.
- Report any operational issues or accidents to the Manager on duty.
- Keep the bar area, floors, dining area, and workstations clean.
- Assist in restocking supplies and running errands when required.
- Support special events when needed.
Employee Development
- Maintain a high level of motivation and teamwork to ensure quality service.
- Foster positive company morale and uphold Gula Cakery’s vision and culture.
Product Knowledge
- Ensure consistent quality in food, drinks, and desserts.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all menu items.
Store Presentation
- Ensure the store is always clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised.
- Follow guidelines for store ambiance, including music and visual presentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
- Prior experience in F&B, retail, or customer service is an advantage.
Skills and Traits
- Strong customer service skills – Ability to engage positively with customers.
- Attention to detail – Ensuring food and drinks are prepared correctly.
- Team player – Works well with colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
- Time management – Ability to handle multiple orders efficiently.
